Who we are
El Centro de Capacitación para el Desarrollo ¨Qosqo Yachay Wasi¨ (CECADE) is a Civil Association, dedicated to the development of training programs, dissemination and transfer of renewable technologies. We seek to promote the development and strengthen the capacities of families of peasant communities, young people, rural teachers, professionals and technicians of the Cusco region and the country, respecting their identity and culture, providing them with scientific and technological knowledge as an option to banish poverty, improve well-being and quality of life and achieve sustainable development.
CECADE is made up of professionals and researchers from the region and the country, with extensive experience in managing sustainable development projects, technology transfer, environmental conservation and the use of technologies that use clean and renewable energy.

Mission
CECADE is a center for education, training, promotion and dissemination of scientific, technological and socio-environmental knowledge. It promotes the development of sustainable productive projects to generate income for rural families in poverty. Develops and applies technologies that use renewable energy, in particular solar energy, promotes the development of environmental awareness, the conservation of the environment and natural resources.
Vision
An inclusive, equitable and sustainably developed Andean territory, where rural families from Cusco and Peru improve their well-being and quality of life, within a framework of freedom, ethics, equity, respect for their identity and culture, in harmony with the environment. . A country (and a territory) where Renewable Energies are massively used and disseminated.
History
CECADE was created in 2006 and is located in the Yaurisque district, Paruro Province, 32 km southwest of the city of Cusco.
The “Zoller Family Foundation” (ZFF), committed to the development and fight against poverty in rural communities in Peru, is the organization sponsored by CECADE.
Gerd Zoller, was the founder of the Zoller Family Foundation and the CECADE Project, dedicating the last years of his life to promote and build a Project of service to children, youth and women of rural communities in extreme poverty. Today Telle Zoller and Satu Zoller continue to support the CECADE project.

CECADE has an eco-efficient infrastructure, an Eco Textile Center (made up of tailoring workshops, machine weaving, crocheting, stick weaving and traditional “away” weaving), a carpentry and carving workshop. A demonstration park of technologies that use renewable energies (solar, wind, hydraulic and biomass), a meteorological station, information center (library and computer center) and different demonstration production units: mini farm of guinea pigs and rabbits, fish farm, mini beekeeping center and greenhouses, Andean aromatic and medicinal plants and a botanical garden with native species of the region. The management is based on organic agriculture.
